Istanbul Medipol University (IMU) is a private, non-profit university founded in 2009 by Fahrettin Koca (current Turkish Minister of Health). With two main campuses — Kavacık (Beykoz, Asian side of Istanbul) and Haliç — IMU offers 71+ undergraduate programmes across 13 Schools, a large share taught fully in English. Its International School of Medicine (ISM) offers double-major tracks with Engineering and MD/PhD programmes.

Founded in 1999, Istanbul Okan University is a leading Turkish foundation (private, non-profit) university with the motto "The Closest University to Business Life." Two main campuses: Tuzla (main, ~200,000 sqm, on-campus dormitories/hospital, 10 min from Sabiha Gökçen Airport) and Şişli (Graduate Education Institute, city-centre). ~18,000 active students including 3,000 international students from 100+ nationalities, 145 graduate programmes, 750+ academic staff. Graduates receive a Blue Diploma (Diploma Supplement) under the Bologna Process. Note: IELTS is NOT accepted in Türkiye — TOEFL iBT 72, PTE 55, YDS 60, CAE/CPE Grade C are the accepted English proficiency thresholds; otherwise students sit Okan's own English Proficiency Exam. Fees and deposits (Annex 1, Ethiopian students): deposits run from USD 1,000 for most bachelor programmes to USD 2,500 for Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy and PhD, and USD 1,200 for associate degrees. Discounts: 5% for a single annual instalment, 10% for a sibling, spouse or child, 12% for full upfront payment on programmes of four years or less, 15% for full upfront on five years or more, and 30% for Okan alumni. If a visa is refused, the deposit is refundable less a USD 250 service fee on production of the official refusal document; deposits are otherwise non-refundable.
